Come join us for our annual fundraiser, Inspire Hope: Planting the Seed. This year’s keynote speaker will be none other than the Galloping Gourmet himself, Graham Kerr.

There will be no cost to attend, but we will be accepting donations.

To RSVP, contact Mark Johnson at 425.609.224 or mjohnson@voaww.org

If you’re a student at either school, drop off some food and help out your neighbors! It’s a win-win for all!

Last minute volunteer call: We’re looking for 2-4 volunteers to help out for our Community Meal Night at First Covenant Church in Everett. If you’re interested, please contact WendiLee MacLeod at wmacleod@voaww.org or 425.259.3191 (x 2251)

It’s not too late to get your yellow shirt! Register to volunteer for the Letter Carriers’ Food Drive here: www.voaww.org/lettercarriers

VOAWW’s homeless prevention program is having a rental screening next Tuesday, May 8th. Additional details are at the link.

Neil from United Way of Snohomish County was recently on KSER’s Radio Labor Journal and talked about the united community effort for the 2012 Letter Carriers Food Drive

This event is a ways away, but we wanted to get a jump start on posting info now:

On June 1st, we are sponsoring the first ever Camp IN 4 Homeless and Hunger. We’re asking high school students from all over Snohomish County to participate!

We’re looking for 200 high school aged teens to raise $100 each through the help of sponsors. One-hundred percent of the proceeds will go directly to service the homeless and hungry population of our community.

During this event/camp out, we will have a performance from melodic hardcore outfit, Tragedy Awaits Us All, a film screening, as well as a myriad of contests and prizes.

If you’re a teen who wants to help out the needy in Snohomish County, come and participate!
